Ameb Piano Book Series 17
Coming November 2014, all-new Grade books and Recording & handbooks from Preliminary to Grade 8 to enhance the repertoire options for AMEB Piano exams.
With over 125 favourites including 25 Australian compositions, Series 17 joins Series 16 and Series 15 as collections of graded repertoire options for candidates completing piano exams.
Piano Series 17 will feature a broad range of repertoire, including works never before seen on the AMEB Piano Syllabus as well as a number of old favourites from syllabuses past. The Grade Books contain pieces in a wide diversity of styles, each chosen for their broad general appeal as well as their pedagogical value. We're particularly pleased to include a number of wonderful works by current Australian composers.
AMEB is delighted to be working with Emeritus Professor David Lockett AM as the Syllabus Consultant for Piano Series 17. He is an eminently accomplished performer, teacher and academic and has had a long association with the AMEB, both as a Federal Examiner and as a previous member of the Board of Directors. David Lockett, in consultation with a panel of piano specialists from around the country, has selected the repertoire for Piano Series 17 and will provide expert editorial advice as the publications evolve.
Piano Series 17 is due to be released at the end of 2014. We are extremely excited to be working on such a fantastic range of publications and we hope that teachers and students around the country love them as much as we do!
* This November, the current Piano syllabus will remain the same with Series 17 being added as additional repertoire options. The current technical work requirements, syllabus manual lists and ability to use the exisitng Series 15 and 16 grade books in examination will remain the same.
